Grand jury indicts two accused of kidnapping child from CPS
The Lubbock grand jury indicted a man and a woman for kidnapping a child from state protection.
Jannette Navarro's child has been in CPS custody since June. During a supervised visit police say Navarro asked to go to the restroom and walked out with the child.
The CPS agents say she carried the victim to where Tomaka Browning was waiting outside. They drove off together and Garza County Deputies stopped them to rescue the child.
Both Navarro and Browning are charged with kidnapping. They face two to 10 years in prison.
