Distinguished violist Kimberly Sparr accompanies the Lubbock Symphony for the concert, which also includes Brahms’s Viola Sonata Op. 120, No. 1 (arr. Berio), Kodály’s Dances of Galanta and Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis.

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Royal Wood has established himself as a true musical talent. Royal ceaselessly continues to evolve and hone his musical craft – earning multiple JUNO Award nominations and the title of iTunes “Songwriter of the Year” along the way. Jumping between guitar, piano and ukulele, Royal “brings class and craft to his pop-rock stylings, delivering them with a rich and resonant voice” (CBC Music).

LOCATION & PARKING: Allen Theatre in the Student Union Building, 15th & Akron on the TTU campus. Parking is available free for ticket holders south of the SUB in the “band lot” R11 starting at 5:30 PM.

This is the fourth Veteran’s Day Parade to be held in Lubbock, Texas. The Veteran’s Day Parade is an event, designed to pay tribute to all veterans and all that have served in Lubbock and surrounding communities.

The 2019 theme is: “We All Bleed Red, White, and Blue” – Participants are encouraged to pay tribute to veterans and all who have served the community. Veterans, to family members, to marching bands to floats, etc. are encouraged to be included. Click here to Register

Route: Begins at First Baptist Church at Broadway and Avenue W, moves east on Broadway to Avenue M, then north on Ave. M to Lubbock Memorial Civic Center parking lot.

This event is free and open to the public.

Forty -three artists and nine studios will be participating in the 23rd Annual Take In the Local Color! Lubbock’s Artist Studio Tour, November 9-10, 2019. This yearly event gives audiences the unique opportunity to observe artists in their working environments, many of which are in private homes. All participating artists are from Lubbock County and all of the studios are located in Lubbock, Texas.
