Pair indicted in Lubbock phone store robberies
A Lubbock County grand jury indicted two men accused of robbing a couple of phone stores last month.
Byron Whitfield, 32, and Joseph Jackson, 26, are both charged with aggravated robbery.
Police say Jackson robbed the stores at gunpoint and Whitfield was the getaway driver. No one was hurt.
Detectives found Whitfield first, reporting they found some of the stolen items in an SUV that left the scene. Investigators report Whitfield gave up Jackson and named him as the robber. Detectives say surveillance video confirms it.
