Lubbock Council confirms Fire Chief Fogerson
The City of Lubbock has a new fire chief. Council members unanimously confirmed Shaun Fogerson Tuesday evening.
Chief Lance Phelps is retiring after 32 years. His last day with the force will be May 26.
Fogerson has been with the department since 1992. He has served as deputy chief of operations for more than three years.
Chief Fogerson says this appointment is the confirmation of a life-long dream.
