Parrish, Corley, Seay sworn in to county leadership
Lubbock County's new county judge is on the job, after being sworn into office.
Lubbock County's new county judge is on the job, after being sworn into office mid-day Tuesday.
Curtis Parrish took the oath, along with all the other county office holders elected in November.
Parrish says his faith will play a major role as an administrative leader of Lubbock County, indicating his faith helps guide his moral compass.
"Each and everyone who just raised their right hand and made an oath, also just made a prayer to say 'help me God'," Parrish said. "So today, we go forward, we serve Lubbock County in our various ways. "
Parrish says he and new commissioners Jason Corley and Chad Seay have already been preparing for months and are eager to get to work.
"We're going to find out all the real problems that nobody talks about in Lubbock County," Pct. 4 Commissioner Chad Seay said. "We'll find out the lawsuits we're under, litgiations...we get the whole gambit of everything, then we make decisions going forward."
The next commissioners court meeting is Wednesday.
