Left-hander Derek Holland needed 55 pitches to make it through two innings in an injury-rehab assignment start with Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

Holland, facing Memphis of the St. Louis organization, allowed six baserunners and two runs in two-plus innings. He came out after facing four hitters in the third without getting an out. Second baseman Hanser Alberto had a fielding error behind Holland in the third.

In two rehab starts, Holland has given up four runs and nine baserunners in 3 2/3 innings. He is expected to make at least four more starts in the minors.

Holland has been on the disabled list since April 11 because of a strained muscle in the left shoulder. He has pitched only one inning in the majors this season.
