The State Supreme Court has set a date to hear the massive school finance case that has been an issue in the legislature and for school districts for years. Lubbock ISD is one of the many plaintiffs in the case. Last year, a state district judge ruled the way the state pays for public education unconstitutional, unfairly distributing tax revenue among districts. The Attorney General's office had appealed the decision. The court is set to hear the case on September first.
