The 21st ranked Red Raiders opened the Maui Invitational against the 10th ranked Creighton Blue Jays. When all was said and done Tech dropped the match up 76-65.

It was a physical battle that was tied at 31 all after the first 20, but would be outscored by 11 points in the second half. Defensively Texas Tech forced 13 turnovers in the first half, but none in the second.

There were 4 Red Raiders who finished with double digit scores. Daniel Batch led the way in the scoring department with 17. Freshman Pop Isaacs added in 13 points, including hitting 4 shots from deep on five attempts. Davion Harmon was another double digit scorer finishing with 12 points, Kevin Obanor scored 10.

The loss is the first in the right column for the Red Raiders, who now sit at 3-1 on the season. They’ll face the loser of Arkansas vs Louisville tomorrow afternoon. Hear the game starting at 12:30 on Double T 97-3.
