A Lubbock grand jury has indicted a man for his involvement in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Sept. 2020.
Benjamin Mitchell, 29, has been indicted for manslaughter. Mitchell was indicted back in October with two counts of failure to stop and render aid causing death.
Investigators say a motorcycle was traveling southbound when a Buick, driven by Mitchell, struck the motorcycle from behind and fled the scene. The vehicle was located abandoned shortly after.
Additionally, Mitchell was charged with a parole violation following his conviction for molesting a child. Police arrested him in Michigan.
He's held on a $100,000 bond. If convicted, hes faces up to 20 years in prison.
