EL PASO, Texas (AP) - El Paso police say a Fort Bliss soldier has been arrested in connection with a stabbing attack that killed a woman and wounded two other soldiers.

The El Paso Times reported that 22-year-old Army Spc. Torian A. Davis was arrested Wednesday on murder and aggravated assault charges. He's being held in the El Paso County Jail on a $1.1 million bond.

Police haven't released the name of the 25-year-old woman who was killed.

Police say the stabbings occurred Saturday at an apartment where Davis, the woman and 21-year-old Spc. Anthony Velasco were drinking and doing drugs.

Police say Davis allegedly attacked the pair "without any provocation" and then attacked 23-year-old 1st Lt. Jared Abes outside the apartment complex.

A Fort Bliss spokesman declined to comment on the charges but said Davis was assigned to the 1st Armored Division.
